Saturday, April 25, 1885

On this day 141 years ago, Queen’s Park beat Renton 3-2 at the second Hampden Park in the second round of the Glasgow Merchants’ Charity Cup.

The scorers for the Spiders were Bill Harrower (2) and William Watt. Queen’s went on to lift the trophy for a seventh time with a 1-0 win over Dumbarton in the final.
